Dancer / Troupe Sign-up
Benefits of dancing at the Hayati Show & Hafla:
- Performers get in FREE!
- opportunity to dance on a raised theater stage with professional lighting and sound
- when available, photographs and/or video of your performance for purchase
- professional dancers/studios get a chance to advertise to potential students with every performance
- amateur dancers can perform in a supportive environment
- if you are new to Houston or not from Houston, this is a great way to get involved in the Houston community
- all belly dance and Middle Eastern dance styles are welcome to perform
Here's the gist of performing in the show:
- Performance content, including music, must be family friendly
- Your music should be no longer than 6 minutes in length
- One performance per person/troupe (you may perform with a troupe and do a solo, but not two solos)
- 12 performance spots are available. If more than 12 sign-up, a Waiting List will be created.
- Performers are only allowed to perform in EVERY OTHER HAYATI SHOW. (i.e. You can not perform in two consecutive Hayati shows) To clarifiy, if your troupe performed in the last Hayati show, your troupe has to wait another show to perform again, however, if you or another troupe member want to do a solo in the upcoming show you may sign up to dance in the upcoming show. I just don't want the same troupes or soloists in consecutive shows.
Sign-ups for the April 1st show begin Sunday, February 26th at 12noon.
Entries received before the official sign-up date/time will not be accepted. Participation in the show is based on the order the entries were received. Don't wait to sign-up! The line-up fills up quickly, but don't give up either - JUST SIGN-UP!!!
